Mike, an extensive e-commerce platform, required enhancements to their WordPress multisite setup to improve automation, connectivity, and order management. The goal was to automate social media posting, facilitate marketplace connectivity for vendors, and centralize order logging. IconiThemes was tasked with implementing these features using WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Facebook API, and Instagram API.

  • Enhance the WordPress multisite setup with automated social media posting, marketplace connectivity, and centralized order logging for vendors.

Actions Taken

Auto Social Integration

Developed a feature called “Auto Social” to automatically publish posts to Instagram and Facebook when a new vendor registers on the website. Utilized the Facebook and Instagram APIs to ensure seamless and automated social media updates, increasing the platform’s visibility and reach.

Marketplace Connect Implementation

Enabled vendors to register and create their stores as subdomains, allowing them to fetch and sell products from the main site. This feature, named “Marketplace Connect,” facilitated easy store setup for vendors and ensured a cohesive marketplace experience.

Velocity Vendor Integration

Developed the “Velocity Vendor” feature to ensure that all orders from vendor sites were directly logged into the main network site. This centralized order management system allowed for efficient tracking and management of all transactions across the multisite network.

User Interface and Experience Design

Designed user-friendly interfaces for the new features using HTML5 and CSS3. The design focused on ease of use, ensuring that both vendors and administrators could navigate the new functionalities effortlessly.

Performance Optimization

Optimized the system for performance, ensuring that the new features did not affect the overall speed and responsiveness of the multisite setup. Conducted extensive testing to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Training and Support

Provided training to Mike’s team on how to use and manage the new features. Offered ongoing support to address any issues and ensure the smooth operation of the enhanced system.
